SSC MTS ELIGIBILITY : Nationality A candidate must be either : (a) a citizen of India, or (b) a subject of Nepal, or (c) a subject of Bhutan, or (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the Ist January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. SSC MTS Age Limit (As on 01-08-2023): The SSC MTS Age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are : 18-25 years as on 01.08.2023 (i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1998 and not later than 01.08.2005) for MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue) 18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02-08-1996 and not later than 01-08-2005) for Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and few posts of MTS. Note-I : Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/ExS/ etc. categories is available as per extant Govt. Orders. NOTE-II : The Commission reserves the right to fill up analogous posts in other Ministries/Organizations under the Government from this recruitment. Note-III : Separate applications will need to be made, if any candidate wants to apply for vacancies in more than one State/UT. SSC MTS Educational Qualifications (as on 01.08.2023) Must have passed Matriculation Examination OR equivalent from a recognized Board. SSC MTS SCHEME OF EXAMINATION : The examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination, Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar). The SSC MTS examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination. The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in Hindi, English and in 13 regional languages viz. (i) Assamese, (ii) Bengali, (iii) Gujarati, (iv) Kannada, (v) Konkani, (vi) Malayalam, (vii) Manipuri,(viii) Marathi, (ix) Odia, (x) Punjabi, (xi) Tamil, (xii) Telugu and (xiii) Urdu Computer Based Examination will be conducted in two Sessions: Session-I and Session-II and both the Sessions will be mandatory to be attempted. Not attempting any session will disqualify the candidate. Dates of SSC MTS Computer Based Examination : September, 2023 SSC MTS exam covers following subjects : Session-I Numerical and Mathematical Ability Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving Session-II General Awareness English Language and Comprehension HOW TO APPLY SSC MTS APPLICATION FORM : Applications must be submitted in online mode only at the official website of SSC Headquarters i.e. https://ssc.nic.in. Last date for submission of SSC MTS online applications is 21-07-2023 (23:00). The Commission does not accept any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of the aforesaid reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of the Commission. SSC MTS APPLICATION FEE : Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes(SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee SSC MTS Online fee can be paid by the candidates up to 22-07-2023 (23:00 hours). However, candidates who wish to make the cash payment through Challan of SBI, may make the payment in cash at the Branches of SBI within the working hours of bank up to 24-07-2023 provided the Challanhas been generated by them before 23-07-2023 (23:30 hours). Applications received without the prescribed fee shall not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection will be entertained.
